Music Maze

Music Maze is a series of fun, creative, participatory workshops for children aged 8–11. Children do not need to play a musical instrument to take part. In this special Music Maze, we will be joined by musicians Kate Luxmore and Lekan Babalola to compose fanfares inspired by The Golden Chain, a Yoruba creation myth. Part of Flourish! BCMG’s Creative Cities project for the Birmingham 2022 Festival.

Creative Composing Lab 3rd July

Creative Composing Lab is an exciting opportunity for young people aged 14-18 to compose guided by the expert knowledge of professional composer David Horne from Royal Northern College of Music and BCMG musicians.
In July’s workshop, participants will compose fanfares for a quartet of BCMG musicians – oboe, trumpet, double bass and tabla. Part of Flourish!, BCMG’s Creative Cities project for the Birmingham 2022 Festival.
