BCMG’s out of school programme supports young people to compose their own music guided by professional composers and musicians. No previous experience of composing is necessary. See below for details of our exciting upcoming workshops.
Music Maze (School Years 3-6)
Fun and informal creative music making workshop. Led by BCMG’s Director of Learning, Nancy Evans and BCMG musicians.

BCMG Young Composers (School Years 7-9)
BCMG Young Composers is a series of four weekend workshops spread across the Summer Term. Young people will have the opportunity to compose for BCMG musicians who perform their works in a concert at the end of the series. You must be able to attend all the workshop dates. Book your place HERE.

Creative Composing Lab (School Years 9-13)
Creative Composing Lab is an opportunity for young people aged 14-18 to compose for professional musicians, guided by composer David Horne. These workshops are perfect for young people working towards their upcoming GCSE and A Level music exams.
