The Young Composers Project is running a composing workshop in July 2023 (28th-30th) at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (RBC).
The workshop is designed for students aged 14-18 who will work with current and alumni RBC composers and instrumentalists to create new music.
The focus of the weekend will be to offer students new ways to develop their music, to have their music performed live and receive feedback, and to give them a taste of what it might be like study composition at a university or conservatoire.
We support all kinds of young creative musicians including songwriters, composers and improvisers. Some knowledge of western classical notation might help but it is not essential.
