The Young Composers Project is running a FREE composing course for students aged 14-18 at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (RBC).
Students will get to work closely with current and alumni conservatoire composers and instrumentalists to create new music together and have their music performed live over a series of six Sunday workshops. Student will also be assigned a composing mentor and receive regular feedback. This year the theme will be about ‘sustainability’.
We support all kinds of young creative musicians including songwriters, composers and improvisers. Some knowledge of western classical notation might help but it is not essential.
